Baseball Golf Scoring
What is the baseball golf score? This is a form of measuring a major league baseball team’s season more verbosely rather than game by game. 162 games in one season is a long time, break it up into 18 “holes” and you have yourself a scorecard of every 9 games being a hole.
For par, it figures that to make the playoffs a team would need about 90 wins (72 losses). That may not always get you into the playoffs but it’s not fun to have to change the goalposts based on the wildcard race so settling on that number is sufficient. Every 9 games, a team should attempt 5 wins and 4 losses or better to better their overall scorecard.
